![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() She is survived by her daughter, Mary Erin Roberts, and her son, Sean Anthony Murphy, and her granddaughters Mary Catherine Roberts and Alison Meredith Roberts Barone, and great-grandsons Joseph Hayden Barone and Noah Johnathon Barone. She also loved the music of Roger Whitaker and Abba. She loved watching western movies, tv shows and reading romance novels. She was a strong supporter of combat veterans, police, and volunteer firemen, and loved watching WVU basketball. In the 1980s she worked briefly at the National Institute of Safety and Health. Lois ran for a position in the Morgantown city council in the 1970s and was a den mother for the Cub Scouts at Morgantown Central School. Lois and her husband moved to Morgantown in 1970 and where they spent the remainder of their careers. There, she worked for the Library of Congress until 1969. She married Robert Lawrence Murphy, of Moundsville, in March, and moved to Washington, D.C. She worked for The Moundsville Journal, for one year. She graduated from Moundsville High School in 1946 and went on to graduate from WVU in 1950 with a degree in journalism. When she was very young, her parents owned a cow named Bonnie, who was her very loved pet. Lois was born on November 8, 1928, the daughter of the late Joe Vasil Tatich and the late Mary Helen Gunto. Lois Ann Tatich Murphy, 91, of Morgantown formerly of Moundsville, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. ![]()
